In Hege Bjerk's universe, the windswept Jæren meets the glamorous pop world.

Bjerk confides crudely and honestly to the listener and often uses the music for self-reflection. She sings in dialect to get closer to the core of her own lyrics, and while the words carry a life lived, the melodies offer carefree and dance. The result of these contrasts gives a unique and energetic sound image, which retains the pop's airy expression without being stripped of resistance.

For the artist from Bryne, music has always been at the center. The dream of communicating has never disappeared, but Bjerk has long suffered from the good girl syndrome. She unjustifiably questioned her own talents and refused to go to an uncertain future as an artist. The turning point came when she realized that being an artist is not about being "good", but about conveying stories and feelings to the listeners. When she finally took the plunge, it quickly turned out to be the right one.

In 2016 came the debut «Everything I dream about». Four years later came the album "Ka me stoppte tiå" and in the autumn of 2021 there will once again be news from Bjerk. She and producer John Samuel Gerhart have used the pandemic to throw ideas and soundtracks back and forth between Bryne and LA. The creative collaboration strikes a balance between Bjerk's previous releases, wrapped in organic guitars, drums, bass and Gerhart's unique producer style. Once again, the listener gets to experience the contrasts between the windswept west coast of Norway and sunny Los Angeles.
