FAU

  • FAU is elected by the parents' council, which consists of all parents/guardians of children in SiS kindergarten.
  • FAU has 6 members and 6 deputies.
  • The election period is a kindergarten year, from August to August.
  • FAU must ensure good cooperation between the nursery school and the children's homes. (Law on Kindergartens §4)
  • FAU constitutes itself.

Cooperation Committee

  • SU must have 6 members who are elected as follows:
  • 2 parent representatives elected by FAU
  • 2 staff representatives, elected by the staff in SiS kindergarten
  • 1 municipal representative, elected by Sola municipality
  • 1 owner representative, elected by the board of SiS
  • The day-to-day manager has the right to meet, speak and make proposals.
  • The election period is a kindergarten year, from August to August.

4.1 Admissions are made by the general manager.

4.2 There are two admissions a year. Main admission w/application deadline 1 February, and supplementary admission for new students 1 August.

4.3 Allocation rules and criteria for keeping the kindergarten place.

  • One of the parents must be a full-time student, at an educational institution affiliated to SiS.
  • Have paid the semester fee.
  • First-year students deliver admission certificate, at the start of a new kindergarten year
  • Other students must provide confirmation of achieved study progression, i.e. at least 60% of 60 credits, which must be documented at the beginning of a new kindergarten year.
  • Documentation of continued right to study.
  • Documentation of maternity leave exempts the requirement for completed credits for the semester(s) in question.
  • All invoices for the kindergarten place must be paid
  • Exception § 4.9

Children with permanent disabilities, who according to expert assessment can benefit from the kindergarten stay, and who live in Sola municipality will be given priority. Act on Kindergartens § 13.

4.4 Applications for kindergarten places for children of educational managers in SiS kindergartens are prioritized in the same way as student children. The director admits these children.

4.5 Siblings of children in the kindergarten can be given priority for admission.

4.6 In the case of vacant places where we do not have applicants who are qualified according to points 4.2, 4.3 or 4.4, places can be allocated to applicants who are not students. In that case, priority will be given to children of employees in SiS kindergarten, SiS, SiS sports center and employees at affiliated schools. The nursery place is kept as long as the employment relationship is maintained.

4.7 When taking admission, emphasis must be placed on ensuring that the group composition is as good as possible in accordance with the Kindergarten Act.

4.8 The child keeps the nursery place as long as at least one of the parents is a student and satisfies the criteria for the allocation of a nursery place.

4.9 Children over the age of 3 can keep the nursery place until compulsory school age, even if the parents do not meet the admission criteria.

4.10 The notice period is 2 months from the 15th of each month.

4.11 Students who have been given a nursery place have the opportunity to apply on leave for one year from the kindergarten place, from 15 August – 14 August.

4.12 Refusal of an application for a kindergarten place can be appealed in accordance with the regulations on case management rules for admission to kindergarten and the provisions of the Administration Act.
