🙌 SiS works for the students' best interests.
Students at the University of Stavanger, BI Stavanger, Noroff Stavanger, VID Stavanger, the Art School in Stavanger, Rogaland Vocational School, the School of Leadership and Theology, and NLA Stavanger are all affiliated with SiS through the semester fee.
This means that students at these educational institutions have access to our services.
The semester fee is currently 590 kroner per semester, or 1,180 kroner per year.
What services does SiS offer?
🏠 SiS offers affordable and safe student housing. Electricity, wifi, laundry, maintenance services – everything is included in the rent, and you don't pay any deposit. SiS has 1,626 accommodations for singles, couples, and families.
🧑⚕️ SiS also offers free health services. We have people you can talk to if you encounter problems during your studies – from psychologists to more accessible conversation partners. We also have a health nurse you can visit, and you get a hefty discount on your dental bill. You can also test anonymously for sexually transmitted infections with us. And finally: Our health department has a packed, free course calendar with everything from ice bathing to cooking classes.
🏋️♂️ SiS sports center is one of the country's largest and most comprehensive fitness centers. Membership prices start at 339 kroner per month, making it affordable for students to join. We have a regular gym, a gigantic crossfit/functional fitness area, nearly a hundred group classes a week (ranging from strength to cardio and yoga), climbing, bouldering, padel, golf simulator – almost everything you can think of except a swimming pool.
💃 We also run the student calendar. Being social and meeting other people is one of the most important things you can do for your well-being. Several students work with us to create low-threshold social events for students affiliated with SiS. The events are almost always free.
💰 We also provide support to student organizations and academic societies. The support is distributed on our behalf by the Welfare Council in Stavanger, enabling a vibrant organizational life among students.

On the UiS campus lies the SiS student house. This is a common gathering point for all students in the region, regardless of which educational institution you attend. In the building, you'll find everything from Norway's largest fitness center, SiS sports center, to a coffee bar, the student bar Tappetårnet, all our services, and much more!
