If you want good proof that SiS is really the students' own business, you don't have to go further than our board. Half of the board members are students themselves, including the chairman and deputy chairman.
The board consists of eight elected representatives. Of these, four are student representatives, two employees and two representatives from the colleges/university management. Since the students have a majority in the chairman's double vote, the students therefore have a great influence on the development of our offers.
As a student, you are always welcome to meet the board before the start of the meeting. Either to provide input, or to express your opinion about whatever you want.

SiS works for a more responsible and sustainable business practice.
Responsibility in all value chains
Our business affects society and the environment around us, and it is important for us to ensure responsibility and dignified conditions in all parts of our value chains.
Implementation of due diligence assessments in our own operations and our value chains shall ensure that we respect human rights, safeguard decent working conditions and minimize damage to the environment in accordance with our guidelines and principles.
Risk mapping
We carry out an overall risk mapping of our purchasing categories, which forms the basis for further mapping and prioritization of risks in SiS. We will work actively with internal processes and routines linked to the model for due diligence assessments (see picture below) and report on the work in accordance with the law.
Our work is based on the UN's guiding principles for business and human rights(UNGP, 2011) and OECD Due Diligence Assessment Model for Responsible Business(OECD, 2018). These are based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Labor Organization's (ILO) core conventions on basic principles and rights in working life.
Responsible purchasing
We consider responsible purchasing to be one of our most important tools in working towards a more sustainable business practice.
Through our ethical guidelines for suppliers(Code of conduct) we must make demands on basic human and labor rights, climate and environment, anti-corruption and animal welfare at our suppliers.
We work to adapt our purchases so that we strengthen, and not undermine, suppliers' ability to deliver on the requirements we set to ensure responsible relationships in our supply chains.
For questions about the Transparency Act, contact the CEO by email or telephone.
