Self-help tools

Guided self-help is a program designed so that you can work on challenges related to mental health on your own, with follow-up from staff in the health department at SiS.

You can choose not to have an assessment meeting

If you know which topic you want and do not want a conversation about, you can send an email to samtaletilbud@minsis.no to receive a code that enables you to use Assisted Self-Help on your own. Do not write anything sensitive in the email.

You can also get help with other topics through Assisted Self-Help.

These are mastery of:

  • Fear
  • Depression
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Stress and strain
  • Concerns
  • Perfectionism
  • Exposure
  • Improving self-esteem

Before starting the program, we recommend that you book an individual session with a counsellor at SiS. There you can work together to create a plan for how to use the program. You can schedule a follow-up phone call six weeks later, where you will be asked how you feel things are going so far. Another 4–6 weeks after that, you will have a final session, where you will together review how effective the guided self-help has been for you.
