Akathist Reading to John the Baptist
Join us for an Orthodox Christian Akathist at UiS!
We will read the Akathist to John the Baptist, the prophet who prepared the way for the Savior and baptized Him in the River Jordan.
Not sure what an Akathist is? Come anyway! An Akathist is a hymn dedicated to a saint, an event, or one of the persons of the Trinity.
