Løvetann - at Rogaland Theatre

If you had the chance to say something to a younger version of yourself, what would it be?

Growing up is no simple matter. Not for people, and not for dandelions (yes, that is actually the correct word). The challenges on the way up toward the sunlight are sometimes many and powerful. Yet, year after year, something manages to grow and emerge in places where you never thought it would be possible.

Løvetann is a performance precisely about recognizing and nurturing the will to grow. Whether it is the relentless will that, against all odds, can break through obstacles and barriers, or the underestimated will that silently stands behind and supports plants, people, and structures.

Kim Fairchild and Espen Hana are two well-known and beloved artists and actors. In this performance they generously share their talents, personal experiences, and their drive. Five young people from Ungdomsteatret contribute additional vitality and yet-undiscovered gifts. And the musical strength of the performance is no small matter. Mathias Eick/Simen Kiil Halvorsen (trumpet), Audun Erlien (bass), Pål Hausken (percussion) and Morten Røsbak (keyboards) make up the jazz quartet which, together with Espen and Kim, will guide the audience through an atmospheric evening on the Main Stage.

Løvetann is performed at Rogaland Teater Tuesday–Saturday from 2 September to 24 October.
Please note that the performance starts at 18:00 on Saturdays.
