The world feels increasingly difficult to understand, and even harder to change. You can vote, protest, sign a petition, or get involved on social media. But what difference does it really make?

For students, the question may feel especially stark: What should you devote your life to when the future seems so uncertain? Is it possible to build a good life while also trying to change the world? And is there any point in getting involved when the forces at play seem so much bigger than you?

Or is it precisely when it seems pointless that caring matters most?

We have brought together people who have chosen to do exactly that. What drives them? Where is the line between hope and naivety? And what does it take to move from commitment to action?

On the panel:
Jonas Kittelsen, climate activist and spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion. He recently published the book “The World Is Waiting for Us: A Call to Action for a Livable Future”
Åsmund Aukrust, Minister of International Development (Labour Party), works on some of the biggest global issues facing Norway.
Dunya Hosseini, bachelor’s student in political science and active public commentator

Host: Hassan Preisler, actor, author, playwright and radio host, known from the podcast The Norwegian, the Swede and the Dane.

More participants will be announced later.

It is free and open to everyone. No registration required.

The event is organized in collaboration with KÅKÅnomics.
