Workshop: How to use AI for learning and writing?

Chatbots can provide explanations of difficult concepts, ideas for your writing project, or help with proofreading and structuring your text.

Using AI for learning and writing can work well for some students.

Chatbots can serve as discussion partners for you and your fellow students in group work or similar settings. At the same time, it is important that you remain in control of your own learning and writing process.

In the workshop, we will try out various functions together and reflect on the possibilities and limitations of using AI for learning.

Remember that you can also get individual guidance on academic writing at the library.

For whom? For students who are curious about how AI can be used for learning and writing.

How can I prepare? Familiarize yourself with the exam regulations. Get an overview of the course description and some of the syllabus. It is an advantage if you have read one syllabus article in advance. Get to know our Canvas course “Academic Writing” and the modules there on AI.

What should I bring? Bring your own laptop.

Teaching format: In this workshop, we go through different ways of using chatbots. We will test several functions and possibilities. Feel free to come together with fellow students so you have someone to reflect with.
