Academic Freedom in Palestine

SAIH Stavanger has started a speaker series to enlighten the conditions of academia and academic freedom around the world.

For our first presentation, we have Ingebreth Forus, leader of Palestine Committee (Stavanger). He has worked in oil industry for years, as a worker and supervisor in well intervention, and as a shop stuart and trade union activist in many positions within LO and IndustriEnergi. He has been an activist in international politics since the fight against USA in the Vietnam war, and has been the leader of the Palestine committee in Stavanger since the early 90s.

Join us to talk about the academic freedom in Palestine and the political condition and how the international political influence, especially Norwegian, can improve the framework conditions for education and development.
