A little about the artist:
Eduardo Scaramuzza is a Stavanger-based composer, percussionist and performer. Their solo work centres on mbiras, kalimbas and voice, creating intimate sound worlds built from rhythm, melody and repetition. Alongside loads of collaborative work, Eduardo has gradually been developing their own artistic voice as a solo performer and ensemble leader. The solo project grew from a desire to step beyond the traditional percussion role and explore melody, voice, and storytelling through mbiras and kalimbas. Originally from Brazil and now based in Norway, Eduardo´s music draws on folk, global, and jazz traditions. Their concerts invite audiences into a calm and immersive atmosphere where sound unfolds slowly and organically.
