Piece Of Peace

Follies Student Theatre presents their play "Piece of Peace", where you meet three actors. Together with director Daria Egorkina, they have written the script for the performance, which touches on the situation in Palestine, the experience of being a refugee, and the struggle to be heard. The language of the play is primarily English, with a small portion in Norwegian. The premiere takes place on October 11 at Follies-huset (Lagårdsveien 73).

In a world where screens dominate, we have stopped listening to one another. We close ourselves off and avoid meeting the real stories. Why have we become more concerned with the light of the screen than with living people? Perhaps because we fear being touched, feeling the pain of others, and thus having to take action. But while we turn away, those who want to share their stories burn in the silence.
