Om:
Jazz, folkemusikk, pop og elektronikk møtes for å skape de utallige veiene musikken kan dras til. Med tekster på norsk og engelsk, legges det grunn for et melodiøst og rikt klangbilde, med vakre improviserte folketoner på topp, og kontrabass i bunn.
“RADIX” er et konsertprosjekt med musikken til Papole Khaki, i en uvanlig besetning av instrumenter. Det siste året har Khaki fokusert på rytmisk og harmonisk kompleksitet, uten å miste essensen av musikken hennes som har rot i Kurdistan. Musikken har fokus på å ta innover seg den store variasjonen med musikk der ute, og inspirere seg av de minste tingene. Alt fra gospel- og jazz-inspirert, til mer folk-tradisjonell.

About:
Jazz, folk music, pop and electronics meet to create the countless paths that music can take. With lyrics in Norwegian and English, the foundation is laid for a melodious and rich soundscape, with beautiful improvised folk tones at the top, and double bass at the bottom. “RADIX” is a concert project with the music of Papole Khaki, in an unusual lineup of instruments. In the past year, Khaki has focused on rhythmic and harmonic complexity, without losing the essence of her music, which has roots in Kurdistan. The music focuses on taking in the great variety of music out there, and being inspired by the smallest things. Everything from gospel and jazz-inspired, to more folk-traditional.
