Most of us know that living in Norway means living in one of the richest countries worldwide. And while many of us would love for others to have the same opportunities in life, we often don’t know how to make an impact.
This is where effective altruism comes in – a growing global movement and research community focused on using evidence-based decision-making to improve the world as effectively as possible. How this is relevant to students and university staff? Well, because connecting academic work with real world impact is what motivates most of us to work in academia in the first place!
We are thrilled that Laura Maria Kull will invite us into the world of Effective Altruism by giving a presentation (20 minutes) followed by Q&A and informal discussion.
This event is organised by the UiS Doctoral Community and mainly targets PhD candidates and Post-Docs. Anyone is welcome to join!
