Power trio Bokassa aka "Norwegian Rocks Buzz Aldrin" have, while being the ambitious slackers that they are, experienced quite a lot during their relatively short existence. They have released three critically acclaimed albums, toured with Mastodon, Baroness, Judas Priest, Zebrahead, Therapy? and Metallica. Played at several of the world's biggest festivals (Wacken, Download, Hellfest, Tons of Rock, Øya). They have been nominated for Spellemann (and lost), won the Bendiksen prize, played a live session at BBC Radio 1 and tried at least five different types of Pepsi Max along the way. The self-released debut "Divide & Conquer" was named one of 2017's best debut albums by the venerable Metal Hammer UK and one of the best Norwegian records of the last decade by Gaffa. In 2019, they were handpicked by Metallica, together with Ghost, as support on their "Worldwired" tour, without either a record company, management or booking company behind them.

In 2021, they signed with the major label Napalm Records, due to that Monster Magnet was there, which is probably quite symptomatic of the band's ability to not make well-considered decisions. The third album "Molotov Rocktail" went straight to 18th place on the VG-Lista Top 40 and received glowing reviews both at home and abroad. Honorable Kerrang! for example gave the record 4/5 and called it "..an album that regularly mixes the sublime and the ridiculous for an end result that's simply awesome".

In February 2024, the band's fourth full-length "All Out Of Dreams" will be released on Norwegian Indie Recordings (Satyricon, Cult of Luna, Seigmen, Oslo Ess). Recorded with Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Meshuggah, Babymetal, Madball) at Antfarm Studios, the record features musical guests from Sick Of It All and Red Fang, and showcases a band that has never been in better form. Musically speaking, the physical form is still at rest.
