Laget UiS

We are a Christian student organization aiming to make Jesus known among students at UiS, so that he is believed in, loved, and followed. To learn more about faith and to create a close-knit student community across study programs, we hold weekly gatherings. Here, we have lunch, discuss topics about faith and the Bible, and have meaningful conversations. Other events we organize include Skepsisuka (Skepticism Week) and Godhetsuka (Kindness Week). Studying is all about aquiring new knowledge. Some ideas build on what we already know, while others are entirely new. Skepsisuka is a week focused on questions about faith, where anyone can bring their curious or critical questions about belief and get answers. Another significant part of student life involves the many tests and evaluations we go through, which can influence how we view ourselves and others. Godhetsuka is all about spreading kindness and joy unconditionally at the university—among students and staff. We’ve seen that this makes a difference and brightens people’s days as we share the love we’ve received from God and we look forward to this week every year.
