Welcome to a full evening with Baroque Trumpet Ensemble Berlin in Stavanger Cathedral!

This evening you get to join a musical journey through the 17th century with music from Heinrich Schütz's time.

The baroque trumpet Ensemble Berlin visits the festival for the second time. They were also guests here in 2021 and then shared, among other things, a Thursday concert with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in the Fartein Valen hall.

For this year's festival, they bring a total of 11 musicians who all play historical instruments. They have with them three musicians on baroque trumpet, three on baroque trombone, two violinists and otherwise typical baroque instruments such as Viola da Gamba, Theorbe, timpani and organ.

We can promise an exciting musical journey through large parts of central Europe with one of the world's leading early music ensembles.

Bjergsted Brass Festival 2024 is a collaboration between the Faculty of Performing Arts, Bjergsted Trombone Association and the Cathedral and St. Petri congregation.

The main sponsor of the festival is Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
