A warm welcome to the opening concert of this year's Bjergsted Brass Festival!
This evening there will be a concert with the British The Gonzaga Band and various ensembles from Vågen high school, Stavanger cathedral school department Bjergsted and the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger.
The Gonzaga Band is one of Europe's foremost early music ensembles and for the occasion consists of a singer, a violinist, a cornetto player and an organist. They have an exciting program consisting mainly of Italian Renaissance music.
We can promise an exciting and different musical experience with this outstanding ensemble.
Bjergsted Brass Festival 2024 is a collaboration between the Faculty of Performing Arts, Bjergsted Trombone Guild and the Cathedral and St. Petri congregation.
