Welcome to a concert with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of chief conductor Andris Poga.

Through the music, we take you on a journey from barbarism to hope and peace.

Jean-Guihen Queyras, our resident musician this season, explores a distant and mysterious universe in Dutilleux's cello concerto, Tout un monde lointain. After the break, we play Honegger's third symphony, composed right after the Second World War. It reflects on human experiences, from happiness to despair.
