Days of August Releases New EP: Postcards - Alternative Versions

The band Days of August has released their fourth EP, Postcards - Alternative Versions. This EP features four tracks from their 2023 album Postcards, re-recorded and reimagined in a fresh style. The band describes the songs as stripped down, minimalist, and more vulnerable than their original versions.

While the original tracks were expansive and epic, these new versions have a calmer, more sentimental, and intimate feel—almost reminiscent of a "campfire vibe." The goal was to explore different dimensions of the songs by reworking some instrumental elements.

A key feature of the EP is the prominent use of the pedal steel, which the band intentionally incorporated to elevate the tracks to a more ethereal and beautiful level. This reimagining offers a new perspective on familiar songs, showcasing Days of August's ability to create both grandeur and intimacy.
