Kunsthall Stavanger is proud to present the first Scandinavian solo exhibition of the acclaimed painter Ebecho Muslimova. The exhibition showcases her vibrant and provocative character 'Fatebe', and includes newly commissioned paintings that the artist has created specifically for Kunsthall Stavanger.
'Fatebe' is Muslimova's symbol of bodily liberation and surreal storytelling. The artist is known for her uncompromising gaze and technical skills, placing this character in twisted postures and unexpected situations. The detailed oil paintings and expressive drawings act as independent performances, where absurd comedy blends with psychological depth. The exhibition at Kunsthall Stavanger combines new, magnificent paintings and works on paper with pieces from private collections to expand Fatebe's universe. Luxurious and domestic settings meet surreal landscapes, creating a sense of psychological ambiguity. Collectively, the works present Muslimova's ongoing exploration of identity, self-awareness, and the expressive possibilities of the body.
