IMITATING REALNESS by Hanna Våge Skjeggestad

A sensual exploration of the intersection between reality and imitation
IMITATING REALNESS is a dance solo where playing with imitation establishes a shared reality between performer and audience.
It is a performance that physically explores human and animal movements, through acquiring different movement logics and through this tries to create dissonance in the audience's understanding and perception of the dancer's physical performance. By working with imitation in different ways and through small shifts of perspective, the performance also reflects on the relationship between nature and culture.
In Imitating Realness, Våge Skjeggestad wants to create a constant change in the perception of the public. The interest lies in not concluding too quickly about what is around you, but rather observing fluid transitions.
