Stavanger's own Kitchen Orchestra invites you to the traditional, untraditional Christmas concert! To the band's great surprise, they are celebrating 20 years in 2025! And after a long year with lots of activity, including an anniversary concert at Tou Scene, and Kongsberg Jazz Festival, we will round off the year with a bang at a Christmas party at Folken.

Will there be pyrotechnics? Are we going to sacrifice an organ on stage? Will the mayor come? Will there be culture in Stavanger at all in 2026, or is this the last concert the city's population will see before all the artists have to move to Switzerland?
Will Pål come? Will Jørgen come? Will there be musicians with recent album releases? Will anyone else come? Will we find all the members after a hectic year? Where is Nils Henrik's red jacket? Can we fit an organ, numerous drummers, 2 double bass players, a bunch of brass players, saxophonists, vocalists, guests, reindeer, pinnekjøtt, a fridge, a rapper (or was it a pheasant?) AND a Christmas tree on stage?

We promise to decorate the stage as nicely as a bachelor decorates for Christmas. We'll dust off well-known and beloved guest artists and let them undergo the Christmas cleaning which this year also consists of a mix of pinnekjøtt steam, free jazz, contemporary music, Christmas music (from memory), a dash of pop (?) and introspection.
