Support – Det Brutna Kjønn: 20:30–21:00
Concert start DAK & Liv: 21:00
Doors open: 20:00
One of Rogaland’s largest musician and composer collectives comes together to perform music written by Liv Andrea Hauge and members of the collective. Expect a magical, raw and distinctive soundscape, where both familiar favorites and brand new gems are presented with a fresh, contemporary and politically charged edge.
About DAK:
Det Annet Kjønn – Kollektiv (DAK) is a Stavanger-based community of musicians dedicated to elevating women performers and composers. The collective creates space for innovation, safe experimentation and cross-ensemble collaboration. Since 2022, DAK has focused on performing and arranging music by artists such as Terri Lyne Carrington, Alice Coltrane, Melissa Aldana and more. For the first time this year, the collective turns its focus to highlighting the composers we have here at home.
About Liv:
Liv Andrea Hauge is a pianist and composer from Mosjøen, now based in Oslo. She has established herself as a clear and distinctive voice on the new Norwegian jazz scene, known for her strong melodic sense and her open, intuitive approach to improvisation – especially in her own trio.
Alongside an active performing career, in recent years she has written music for big band, chamber ensembles and full symphony orchestra. A major highlight was the commissioned work for the opening of Bodø24 – European Capital of Culture – written for trio, three vocalists and the Arctic Philharmonic.
Liv Andrea Hauge has released eight albums of her own music, and her next release is Døgnville with the Liv Andrea Hauge Trio, out on Hubro in the autumn of 2025.
