Moen consists of four ambitious musicians who aim to contribute something new and fresh in an exciting combination of expressions!
The band focuses on taking the audience on a musical journey and promises catchy melodies, infectious energy, and playful rhythms! Here deep bass meets warm guitar, captivating piano play, and tasteful drums.
Guitarist and composer Aleksander Moen has drawn much inspiration from modern jazz, but the band's diverse background means that the music also ventures into completely different landscapes.
The band has, among other things, drawn inspiration from artists like Julian Lage, Maria Kannegaard, and Liv Andrea Hauge.
The members met at the jazz education program at UiS and have long focused on developing an exciting set of songs supported by a sparkling interplay!
