Bastien Ricquebourg has been employed as alternating solo percussionist and timpanist in the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra since 2009. Five years later he completed his master’s degree in orchestral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where among others Ole Kristian Ruud was his professor. He is still employed in the SSO, but has conducted orchestras in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Venezuela.
In Norway, Bastien has conducted, among others, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Armed Forces Staff Band, the percussion ensemble of the Oslo Philharmonic, KORK, and SSO. He has led several projects with the Sandnes Symphony Orchestra and was principal conductor and artistic director of the Rogaland Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2015 to 2021.
Since 2023 he has been artistic director and conductor of Stavanger Musikkorps av 1919. He is also an associate professor, principal teacher, and head of the percussion and timpani section at the University of Stavanger, and a sought-after teacher at institutions abroad. He has been engaged as principal conductor of the Bjergsted Symphony Orchestra since 2021.
Kiril Kutin is a Bulgarian-born Norwegian pianist with an active international career as a soloist and chamber musician. He performs regularly in Europe and Scandinavia, with a repertoire ranging from core classical works to contemporary music, and has collaborated with several Norwegian and Scandinavian composers. Kutin is artistic director of Kutin Konsert Forening and appears regularly at festivals and concert series in Norway and abroad. He holds a master’s degree in piano from the Bulgarian State Conservatory and is a prizewinner in several international competitions.
