Start your day with inspiration and get a glimpse into UiS’s groundbreaking research on geothermal energy.
UiS has built a new energy center for local heating and cooling, powered by geothermal energy.
The energy center is not only a technological milestone for sustainable heating and cooling – it’s also a state-of-the-art research and teaching laboratory.
Green innovation on campus: The new UiS energy system provides 110,000 m² of campus with hydronic heating and cooling while reducing CO2 emissions by over 80%.
Research in focus: Professor Mohsen Assadi from the Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering at UiS leads the research using the Energy Center as a laboratory for geothermal energy. At the research breakfast, he will offer insights into how this laboratory creates opportunities for research, collaboration, and teaching.
This is a golden opportunity to gain inspiration and insights while enjoying breakfast in great company.
The event is free, and breakfast will be served.
