The revolution is coming to Stavanger in the summer of 2022!
Volya Theater presents the international performance "Revolutionary" about Alexandra Kollontai and her role in the Russian Revolution.
With the circus of history as a backdrop, you meet Lenin, men in horse costumes and the clowns of the proletariat in an epic political drama between stage and hall. Young Alexandra embarks on a journey from the safe confines of the aristocracy to a Europe in flames where there is only one issue for the revolutionaries: All power to the people!
Revolutionary brings together exciting forces in European performing arts under the direction of Irish Conall Morrison. The performance is the first in Volya Teater's series about revolutionary women by Emilie Hetland, produced by Siri Wigdel in collaboration with Stavanger Concert Hall.
