Soft City is ready to hit the concert stages again! New album "Such A Nice Guy" out now.
Since their debut album Settle for the Moon (2022, KKV), the band has played across the country, toured in the cradle of blues Mississippi and Tennessee, and visited festivals in Germany, Poland, and Portugal – just to name a few.
With music inspired by classic soul and R&B, spiced with clear elements of funk and blues, Soft City has captured both dancing feet and hearts among an ever-growing audience. The debut album received significant attention in, among others, Dagens Næringsliv, Nettavisen, and NRK, and interest in their new music is already spreading in both concert halls and media houses.
The band members are also active in a number of other projects, such as the psych-rock band Kanaan, the rapidly growing Klossmajor, as well as various jazz ensembles and indie bands. This genre diversity is reflected in Soft City's own repertoire, which has made them natural guests at everything from jazz and blues clubs to large city festivals. Perhaps you've already seen them at Moldejazz, Klubbøya, or Notodden Blues Festival?
The album "Such A Nice Guy", is out now and has received positive reviews – including in Nettavisen. The crew is now ready to show off what they've cooked up, with a series of concerts in Norway and a separate tour in Spain. Because even though a new album is exciting, it's on stage that Soft City truly belongs. It's live that you get to experience what they're known for: a fireworks display of energy, soul, and joy of playing!
