The Impossible Green – on the road with "Quicksilver Daydream"
After an eventful year with a critically acclaimed album, club tour, and festival summer, The Impossible Green is back with their fresh album Quicksilver Daydream – and a new, extensive tour of Norway. The band, described by Adresseavisen as "Trondheim's best band", has over the past few years established themselves as one of the country's most exciting and energetic live bands. Now they are ready to take their music out to the entire country – from Tromsø in the north to Kristiansand in the south.
With one foot in the Americana tradition and the other firmly planted in the catchy melodies of power pop, The Impossible Green delivers concerts characterized by interplay, presence, and joy of playing. The audience can expect everything from heartwarming ballads to riff-driven songs and powerful vocal harmonies – all wrapped up in the band's distinctive and driving sound.
Their latest release Quicksilver Daydream (released April 25) has received a glowing reception from the country's music press:
"A convincing sequel" – Adresseavisen (5/6)
"Dreamy and brilliant" – Dagsavisen (5/6)
"A sorely needed impulse in today's rock landscape" – Gaffa.no (5/6)
"Trønders with a grip on their rock thing" – Klassekampen (4.5/6)
"Now they come and get you!" – Popklikk
The Impossible Green has in a short time managed to release two strong albums and establish themselves as a solid live attraction. Now they are ready to meet the audience on their biggest tour to date – and promise an evening of energy, presence, and songs that will stay in the body long after the last note is played.
SUPPORT
ANKER is a melodic rock quartet from Stavanger. Songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Jonas Anker Paulsen leads the front, playing and singing out his fate in his mother tongue dialect. It's about as raw and honest as it gets. As ANKER himself said during a concert: singing in Norwegian is naked, but delightful! Who said rock is dead? - Einar Duenger Bøhn
