Write! with the library

During Write! students at UiS can receive help with resources that makes writing and reference managment easier.

Courses and guidance

We will help you get started with your writing, and help you with references and citations, searching for scientific literature, as well as provide you with helpful tips to make studying easier. We will also help you with the reference management software EndNote and Zotero.

Shut up and write

If you are easily distracted from your writing, you can join Shut up and Write in the Study Lab. Together we will put away our phones, ignore social media, incoming emails, and other distractions to focus on our writing. We offer two writing sessions during Write!

Snackbreak and quiz

During the evning we'll provide snacks and food to help you keep up your energy, and at the end of the evening you can ask your questions about academic writing, and join our quiz for a chance to win a gift card form SiS.

Write! is in collaboration with the Study Lab and the Learning Support Centre.

We offer classes in both English and Norwegian, and the classes are open to everyone – no sign up required. We hope you’ll drop by!
