Terms of Agreement and Privacy Policy for Membership at SiS Sports Center
Remember that the current contract/terms for you as an existing member are the ones you received when you became a member of SiS sportssenter.
Generelt
1.1. The terms define the contracting parties as "SiS Sports Center" and "the member". SiS Sports Center is a department within the Student Welfare Organization and will be used further in the agreement)
1.2. The terms are part of the membership agreement, and together with the registration procedure will constitute the contract between SiS sportssenter and the member in a prioritized order where the contract is the supreme document
Membership at SiS Sports Center
2.1 Membership at SiS sports center can be obtained by individuals who:
2.1.1. Er 16 år, eller fyller 16 år i løpet av innmeldingsåret. Legitimasjon kan kreves. Personer under myndighetsalder (18 år) kan inngå medlemsavtale ved SiS sportssenter dersom foresatte inngår avtale på vedkommende sine vegne. Den foresatte er juridisk ansvarlig for betalinger tilknyttet medlemskapet.
2.1.2. Has a generally good health condition. The member is responsible for being medically fit to use the center. If SiS sportssenter sees obvious reasons why the training is harmful to the member, the center will request a conversation with the goal of helping the member to correct any training behavior
2.1.3 Who has not been previously banned from SiS sports center, or has debt from previous membership
2.2. Membership at SiS Sports Center is personal and cannot be transferred or otherwise used by a third party.
2.3. Upon registration, a photo of the member will be taken, the picture is for verification purposes only
2.4. Own terms and age limits apply to climbing facilities, cf. chapter 10
2.5. SiS Sports Center has its own safety and well-being rules that must be followed, cf. chapter 9
2.6. SiS Sports Center cannot guarantee spots in group classes and other activities where participant numbers are limited
2.7. SiS Sports Center reserves the right to regulate membership prices, other fees, and to change membership terms. Such regulation may also be carried out if state or municipal charges are altered, or if considerations for safety, regulatory mandates, or legislative changes make adjustments necessary.
2.7.1. Annual price adjustments will be introduced from autumn 2026 for new members, and from January 1, 2027 for existing members. The first price adjustment will be announced during the spring of 2026. Subsequent price adjustments will be determined and communicated annually, taking effect from January 1 each year. Notification of price changes and changes in terms and conditions shall be made in accordance with applicable regulations and notification deadlines.
2.8. The entire center or parts of it may be closed or have limited services during events, holidays, maintenance work, and Force majeure
2.9. SiS Sports Center has reduced opening hours and a group exercise schedule on public holidays, marked days, Christmas, Easter, and from mid-June to mid/late August. SiS Sports Center is always closed on May 17th.
Membership Duration
3.1 Direct Debit with a 12-month commitment: The membership is valid for a minimum of 12 months and is an ongoing contractual relationship. After the expiration of the commitment period, the membership is automatically renewed and continues until cancellation. Cancellation can be activated at the earliest after the end of the commitment period. The notice period is one month, calculated from the last invoice withdrawal (the 15th of each month). Cancellation must be sent by email to the address provided on the SiS sports center's website. The agreement requires the customer to set up a direct debit
3.2 Direct Debit without a fixed term (minimum 2 months): The membership is valid for the number of months the Member desires, but with a practical minimum period of 2 months due to the notice period. The membership is an ongoing contractual relationship. The notice period is one month, calculated from the last invoice withdrawal (the 15th of each month). Cancellation must be sent by email to the address provided on the SiS sports center's website. The agreement requires the customer to set up a direct debit
3.3. Membership 1 month: The membership is paid upon enrollment and becomes effective immediately. The validity period runs from the purchase date to the same date the following month. The agreement terminates automatically at the end of the period, and cancellation is not necessary. The agreement does not require a direct debit mandate.
Customized membership
4.1. Membership at SiS Sports Center provides access to the add-ons and concepts included in the specific membership customizations chosen at sign-up. Access is limited to the services and facilities defined in the selected membership agreement.
4.2. Membership upgrades can be made at any time to gain access to additional services and concepts. Upgrades take effect immediately and are made via email to the address provided on the SiS sports center's website
4.3 Downgrading of membership can be done to reduce access to additional services and concepts as long as there is no binding period on the contract. For downgrades of additional services, a notice period of one (1) month applies, calculated from the last invoice withdrawal (the 15th of each month)
4.4 Padel, squash, and personal training have separate prices and are not part of the membership adjustments
Payment terms
5.1 As a general rule, SiS Sports Center uses Direct Debit as a method of payment 5.2. To use Direct Debit, the member must have a Norwegian bank account and be at least 18 years old
5.3. The member is responsible for establishing and maintaining a direct debit mandate with their bank. The mandate must be valid at all times and have a limit that covers the invoice amount
5.4. Cancellation of AvtaleGiro does not affect the member's payment obligations and is not considered a termination of the membership
5.5. AvtaleGiro must be active before the 2nd of each month to ensure payments are processed without additional fees (NOK 33). If AvtaleGiro is not active before the 2nd of the month following enrollment, the first payment can be made at the reception desk at the center
5.6. After the establishment of AvtaleGiro, the agreed amount will be deducted from the member's account on the 15th of each month, except at the start where special conditions apply
5.7. The installment payment shall be made at the agreed time. If payment is not made after the due date, the claim will be transferred to a third party for collection and debt collection, and additional costs will be incurred
Discounted agreements
6.1 Verification of discount conditions: For memberships with a discounted direct debit agreement (e.g., student, alumni, or corporate rate), eligibility for the discount can be checked once or twice a year. The member is responsible for providing the necessary documentation, such as proof of paid semester fees, employee ID, or other relevant confirmation. Documentation must be sent to the center's email by the 3rd of the month for the discount to apply from the following month.
6.2 Special terms for student agreements: Valid student ID must be presented at the time of enrollment, and after a 12-month commitment period. In addition, student IDs will be checked every autumn semester. To be eligible for the student price, the member must have paid the semester fee to a student welfare organization in Norway. If a valid student ID is not received via post@sissportssenter.no after the expiration of the commitment period or during the semester check, the membership will be upgraded to the alumni price. The membership will continue until the member themselves terminates the contract.
6.3 Vocational School/Apprentice: Apprentices are not eligible for student membership. Apprentices under 23 years of age can use the youth membership and must present valid documentation to post@sissportssenter.no when signing up. After turning 23, they must use the regular membership.
Membership freeze
"Freeze" means a temporary halt of contract and payments for a limited period of time.
7.1 Discounts are only granted for ongoing agreements that have AvtaleGiro as a payment solution
7.2. All inquiries regarding freezing must be made in writing to the center's email address provided on the website

7.5. Student membership can be frozen for two (2) months per calendar year without the need for documentation
7.6. Absences extending over one or two months require documentation and can only be applied for when the absence is due to a special reason:
illness/injury, documented with a certificate from a doctor
pregnancy, documented with a certificate from a doctor
stationed in connection with work, the military, or studies out of town/abroad, documented by the workplace, the military, or the educational institution
7.7. For the cases of freeze where the binding period has not been completed, it shall be extended by the same number of days as the freeze period
7.8. Termination of membership is not retroactive
7.9. After the expiration of the freeze period, the membership will automatically continue with the terms that are the basis for the agreement
7.10. In the event of termination during the freeze period, a one (1) month notice period applies after the end of the freeze period, provided that there is no binding period. If there is a binding period, this must be completed before any termination can take effect
Termination
8.1. Unless there is a binding period, the member may terminate the membership at any time
8.2. Exceptions to break the binding period upon termination are in cases of relocation 50 kilometers or more away from SiS Sport Center, or due to acute/serious illness. Documentation must be presented in these cases in the form of confirmation of relocation, or a medical certificate.
8.3. The notice period is one (1) month, calculated from the last invoice withdrawal (the 15th of each month)
8.4. All inquiries regarding termination must be made in writing via the email provided on the center's website
Safety and comfort rules
9. 1 The member commits to following the instructions and rules set by SiS sportssenter regarding hygiene, behavior, and general well-being. This includes:
9.1.1. Follow instructions from staff
9.1.2. Leave the center before closing time
9.1.3. Follow the center's guidelines for clothing. See notices at the center
9.1.4 Clean and wash training equipment after use
9.1.5. Behave politely and respectfully towards others. Do not consume alcohol, drugs, or engage in actions that are illegal under Norwegian law at the center.
9.1.6. Green items should be placed in a locked cabinet with a padlock brought by the user, and outdoor shoes are recommended to be placed in the shoe zone in the arrival hall.
9.1.7. SiS Sports Center is not responsible for personal injuries, or for belongings/shoes that are lost.
9.1.8. Lockers that are not rented or emptied by closing time will be opened and emptied by SiS Sport Center
9.1.9. SiS Sports Center attempts to store lost property, or emptied lockers, for a period of 14 days
9.1.10. It is not permitted to take pictures or film others, even in the background, without consent
9.1.11. Taking pictures and videos in changing rooms is strictly prohibited
9.1.12. Shaving is not allowed in the locker rooms, or anywhere else in the center
9.1.13. Violation of rules may lead to termination of membership
Climbing wall and belay certification
10.1. Users of the climbing gym commit to following the directions and guidelines that are in effect at any given time for the wall.
10.2. To use the climbing walls, a bouldering certificate or a top rope certificate is required
10.3. A safety course is required for the use of Autobelays
10.4. Users of the climbing center must sign the center's liability waiver upon membership registration, or through the reception
10.5. Guardians must fill out a declaration of responsibility for children and youth under 18 years of age
10.6. The main facility has an age limit of 10 years
10.7. Children under 10 years old may only use the center's children's room and must be accompanied by a guardian
Anti-doping
11.1. By entering into this agreement, the member commits to maintaining a drug- and doping-free environment in accordance with SiS Sports Center's policy and the guidelines of Anti-Doping Norway
11.2. If there is suspicion of the use of substances from the doping list, the member agrees that SiS sportssenter, in collaboration with Anti-Doping Norway or the police, may conduct a doping test
11.3. In the event of a positive doping test, membership will be terminated immediately without a refund of the membership fee.
Privacy Policy
12.1. Why do we need data storage?
SiS Sports Center collects personal information to maintain membership at SiS Sports Center. SiS Sports Center needs to be able to identify the member upon entry to the center. SiS Sports Center also occasionally needs to contact members to inform about matters related to the membership, opening hours, and products that SiS Sports Center provides, such as news. SiS Sports Center collaborates with Abel Health for personal training services, and by consenting to this contract, you agree that a personal trainer may contact you.
12.2. What must we store?
The member consents to SiS Sports Center recording and storing non-sensitive information about the customer. The information stored includes: name, address, email, phone number, photo, usage of the center, as well as payment information. This information is stored to protect the interests of the member and the administration of SiS Sports Center. Information may be used to send out updates about membership changes, and practical information. For example, changes in opening hours, new products at SiS Sports Center, changes in schedules, etc. Photos of the customer will under no circumstances be used for anything other than identification of the member at access control.
SiS Sports Center stores the workout history for each individual member. The history is used by SiS Sports Center in consultation with the member, if the member wishes to use this for their workout diary or further development. SiS Sports Center uses anonymized workout data and demographic personal data to identify trends and developments that can improve SiS Sports Center's product. SiS Sports Center will always anonymize user data for statistical purposes.
12.3. Who processes your data?
Only employees working at SiS Sports Center have access to personal data, and only in connection with access control, payment, or maintenance of the membership. Employees at SiS Sports Center log into the system with their own code.
The following systems are used to process your data:
1. Member: Membership registry with enrollment data and payment history, booking of group classes, sending of SMS and email related to group classes
3. Reminder AS: Only if collection services are necessary where the member is involved
4. Windows 365 for email and similar. Own secure server
Both systems are located on a secure server: Redpill Linpro AS in Nydalen. SiS sports center has a data processing agreement with Membro.
12.4. Access by the member:
The member has the right to access their workout history and can request to have it deleted. SiS Sports Center will delete this from the member's profile as soon as possible and within one week. If you wish to have your information deleted, send an email to personvern@minsis.no and the deletion will be confirmed by email from SiS Sports Center.
12.5. Third Party:
SiS Sports Center only discloses data to data processors with a data processing agreement. The exception is where legislation requires disclosure. For example, the Accounting Act, in connection with insurance cases, or in connection with debt collection. SiS Sports Center will not release member data to social media, for example Facebook or Instagram for processing by them.
12.6. Marketing and communication to the member:
Upon entering into the Membership Agreement, consent is obtained from the member for SiS Sports Center to use any form of communication with the member, including electronic communication (SMS, MMS, email, etc.), to inform about and/or promote its offerings, in accordance with the Marketing Control Act § 15. The member may withdraw their consent at any time. Marketing activities based on this consent can be managed by the member themselves via "My Pages" on the website. The member cannot opt out of mailings that concern changes to membership terms or amendments to the membership agreement.
SiS Sports Center will not release membership data to social media, such as Facebook or Instagram for further processing by them. If a member follows SiS Sports Center on Facebook or Instagram, they should expect to receive information and marketing through these channels. If a member does not want this information or wishes to unsubscribe from updates, this can be done through the settings in these applications. SiS Sports Center will not use social media to market and inform about anything other than its own and its partners' products. Abel Health has access to personal data by offering a free consultation hour with each membership.
SiS Sports Center automatically deletes all member data within the deadlines required by the accounting law's documentation requirements, and the regulations within the GDPR directive.
12.7. CCTV Monitoring:
SiS Sports Center has video surveillance in parts of the building. The surveillance is connected to a closed system, accessible only by the director and the deputy. SiS Sports Center has a written procedure for logging in. Access to the camera system should only occur if there is suspicion of a criminal act. The police may access the system if there is suspicion of criminal activity and upon written request.
13. Special Measures for Extraordinary Events
13.1. In the event of extraordinary circumstances, such as a pandemic or similar, which result in the temporary closure of SiS sports center, or significant reduction in services, adjustments may be made to the payment arrangements
13.2. The member commits to adhere to the applicable rules during extraordinary events, both nationally, municipally, and the guidelines established by SiS sports center. This may include requirements for personal effort from the member to maintain infection control during training. Violation of these rules may result in termination of the membership
