Elisabeth Faret steps down from her position as Business Manager for Rogaland County.

– SiS' board had many requirements when we started looking for our new CEO. We were looking for a person with both political, academic, and commercial experience. We are very pleased that Elisabeth Faret chose to accept the position, says chairman of the SiS board, Sander Brimsøe Thomassen.

Faret has previously worked as an opportunity developer/marketing manager in Greater Stavanger, and as the director for further and continuing education at UiS. She emphasizes leader, market, and political experience as important characteristics to bring with her as she begins in her new position.

SiS runs the Health Services, Curriculum Bookstore, Student Housing, Kindergarten, the region's biggest Sports Center, and several cafes for the almost 13.000 students in Stavanger and Sandnes. Faret now has the top responsibility for all of these business areas.

– I think it will be absolutely amazing to work for the students in the region. After six years as the director for further and continuing education at UiS it will be like coming home. I am also looking forward to telling even more people about what amazing student cities Stavanger and Sandnes are, says Faret.

The new CEO assumes her duties on July 1. this year.
